Claude Local Switch

Two desktop shortcuts: your coding CLI against the cloud, or against local Ollama. Separate configs, so neither clobbers the other.

v1.0.3

What it does

Two shortcuts

Local and cloud, side by side, no flags to remember.

Isolated configs

A separate config directory per mode, so logins never collide.

Model picker

Choose which local model each shortcut launches with.

Offline ready

The local shortcut needs no internet at all.

Uninstall cleanly

One script puts everything back the way it was.

Running an agentic coding CLI against a local model is genuinely useful — offline, private, and free to run. Setting it up so it does not trample your cloud login is the annoying part.

Claude Local Switch does that setup for you. Two shortcuts land on your desktop, each with its own config directory and environment. One talks to the cloud exactly as before; the other talks to Ollama on localhost. Switching is a double-click, and your cloud session stays logged in either way.
