Vulcan Alliance Bot

A Discord knowledge bot that learns from your own channels first, cites its sources, and sends what it is unsure about to a human verifier before it answers.

v1.2.1

What it does

Your channels first

Learns only from the channels you list, and Discord always outranks anything found on the web.

Three-source rule

Web material is treated as reliable only when three or more independent sources agree.

Shows conflicts

Where sources disagree, it presents both with citations instead of guessing.

Human verification

Uncertain answers route to a private review channel and a named verifier before they go out.

Persona

Ships with a Vulcan personality — precise, literal, unbothered — and the tone is yours to rewrite.

Event calendar

Tracks a community event calendar and answers questions about what is running and when.

Game-aware structures

Built to handle crews with bridge and below-decks slots, and multi-step item exchange and acquisition chains.

Web interface

Tabbed admin with Discord connection status, plus a member question page behind an alliance passcode.

Every community answers the same forty questions forever, and the people who know the answers get tired of typing them. The usual fix — point a chatbot at the internet — is worse, because now the wrong answer arrives confidently and with no way to check it.

Vulcan learns from the Discord channels you list in its config, supplements that with daily web research, and keeps the two clearly separated. Your channels always outrank the web. Web material only counts as reliable with three or more independent sources. Where the two disagree, it shows both with sources rather than picking a winner. Anything it is not sure about goes to a private review channel for a named verifier before it is ever given as an answer.

Questions about this product

Is it tied to one game?

No. It was built for a Star Trek Fleet Command alliance, and the persona, the channel list and the knowledge are all configuration.

Where does it get the confidence to answer?

It does not answer from confidence. It answers from your channels, from verified sources, or not at all.
