Sunday Helper Schedule

Volunteer rotas that run themselves: roles, rotation, swap requests and reminders, instead of a spreadsheet nobody reads.

v1.3.0

What it does

Roles and teams

Greeters, tech, nursery, music — each with its own rota and requirements.

Fair rotation

Distributes turns evenly, and respects availability and blackout dates.

Swap requests

Volunteers arrange cover between themselves; you get told, not involved.

Reminders

Email or SMS, at intervals you choose.

Gap alerts

Unfilled slots surfaced to the coordinator in advance, not on the day.

Printable

A clean month view for the notice board.

Every volunteer rota starts as a spreadsheet and ends as a series of Saturday-night phone calls trying to find out who is actually turning up.

This plugin builds the schedule, rotates people fairly, lets them request a swap without involving you, and reminds everybody before their turn. Volunteers see their own upcoming dates when they log in, and the coordinator sees the gaps before they become a problem.

Questions about this product

Can volunteers see the whole schedule?

That is a setting. Some organisations want it public, some want each person to see only their own dates.

Does it handle multiple services a day?

Yes — as many service times as you need.
